Welcome to SWEDFLIGHT - the Swedish scenery for FS2002, FS2000 and FS98 - plus Combat 1 and 2. Here you will get the actual files for all our Freeware versions of additions for Microsoft flight simulators. With the buttons on the left you can navigate through the main sections on this site and there you can read more about the different versions of SWEDFLIGHT. August 09, 2002 After one year of hard work with the new sceneries the strategies for our future are ready. First some words about this site that in the future will be totally reserved for our ongoing Freeware line of smaller airports. It will keep the layout it has today, for all old visitors that have been used to that after our six years of activitiy here on the Net. All files will still be here, we have even seen some new interest for these older and now famous files for FS98 - the first in the market that covered a whole country (together with Norway). The existing FS2002 section will be reserved for the coming new smaller airports and some of the old ones for FS2000 will also arrive there after the conversion. In a while you will there find the latest of our new small airports - Trelleborg, our most southern airport - and a totally new one, Ljungby/Feringe. The very big project that has been going on since the release of FS2002 is now ready. Our three biggest airports here in Sweden - Stockholm/Arlanda, Gothenburg/Landvetter and Malmo/Sturup - are totally reconstructed for FS2002. During this job they have been given a more professional touch and no labour has been saved in making them very realistic in appearance.
Above all the runway and taxiway systems have got
a realistic look with all details included and in the proper places - lightning,
surface, signs, lines and grass areas. On top of that you will see most objects
with photo textures on all of them, a time
consuming technique but that gives unsurpassed results in realism. Basicly
most objects have exact and proper sizes and a lot are built from original
drawings. We have finally developed a unique and effective optimizing method
that gives very good frame rate figures in spite of the very high richness of
details in the sceneries.
